OBIT-JANNEY, SHIRLEY SNOW

JANNEY, Shirley Snow, 53, of Athens, Ala., formerly of Roanoke, died Tuesday, December 21, 1993, in a Huntsville, Ala. hospital. She was the widow of Leonard H. Janney. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Janney, Decatur, Ala.; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Gary Barta, Donna and Robert Vaughan, all of Benbrook, Texas, Michelle and Byron Taylor, Granbury, Texas; grandchildren, Jonathan and Jacqueline Barta, Candace and Amy Vaughan, Amanda Taylor; brothers, Guy Snow, Charlotte, N.C., Garland Snow, Hardy; sisters, Estelle Welch and Linda McAnally, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted noon Friday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel by the Rev. Robert W. Lanier. Interment will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
