OBIT HATCHER, CLARA ELIZABETH BURWELL

HATCHER, Clara Elizabeth Burwell, 70, of Baltimore, Md., formerly Franklin County, passed away Monday, December 20, 1993. She was a former member of Belleview Baptist Church, Hardy, Va. She was the sixth child born to the late John and Callie Kasey Burwell. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alese Burwell and Mrs. Mary Burwell Patterson; three brothers, Hugh James Burwell, John Thomas Burwell and Daniel Burwell. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Rufus Hatcher Sr.; one son, Rufus Hatcher Jr., both of Baltimore, Md.; four sisters, Mrs. Louise ("William") Casey, Mrs. Pauline Amos, Mrs. Rosell Parciel, all of Roanoke, Mrs. Evelyn ("William") Washington, Buchanan; two brothers, Gilbert ("Liddie") Burwell, Hardy, Louis Burwell, Moneta; sister-in-law, Mrs. Ophelia Burwell, Hardy; two brothers-in-law, James ("Virginia") Berry, Robert ("Shirley") Parker, all of Baltimore, Md.; three grandchildren, Catherine, Erica and Shakia; a devoted friend, Joyce Fullwood; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 27, at noon from Jones Tabernacle Baptist Church, 2100 West Baltimore St., Baltimore, Md. 21223.
