MCFADDEN-BLAND

Laura Elizabeth Bland and Robert Edward McFadden were married December 19, 1993 at the home of friends, Jim and Kathy Cropp of Halifax Co. The officiating clergyman was The Hon. H. F. Haymore Jr., Pittsylvania Co. circuit court clerk. The reception was held at the home of Jim and Kathy Cropp, their friends. The maid of honor was Dana Lynn Bland of Richmond, the bride's sister. The guestbook was attended by Miss Darcy Cropp, daughter of the hosts. The bride carried an orchid arrangement over her mother's wedding Bible. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Bland of Richmond. She is a 1981 graduate of Douglas S. Freeman High School and a 1985 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University. The bride is employed by The Danville Register & Bee newspaper. The bridegroom, son of Mrs. Milton Humphreys of Covington and Mr. Henry B. McFadden Jr. of Roanoke, is a 1974 graduate of Covington High School and graduated from JMU in 1979. He is employed by The Danville Register & Bee newspaper. The newlyweds will live in Danville after the wedding trip to Snowshoe, W. Va.
