OBIT-DAVIS, ELMER P.
DAVIS, Elmer P., 80ish, of 602 Forest Lawn Drive, Moneta, formerly of
Roanoke, passed away Christmas Eve afternoon Saturday, December 24, 1993. He
was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippine Campaigns with the
Army. He retired from the Virginia Highway Department in 1975 as Maintenance
Superintendent for part of Roanoke County. Prior employment in the 1950's was
with Hercules Powder Company. Elmer was an outdoorsman and loved baseball,
playing in his younger day. He is survived by his wife, Frances McCray Davis.
