OBIT-KEY, ESTELLE BROWN

KEY, Estelle Brown, 82, of Bedford, died Friday, December 24, 1993 in a Roanoke nursing home. She was born in Bedford County on August 23, 1911 a daughter of the late Peyton Brown and Dicie Craig Brown. She was retired from Piedmont Label Company and was a member of the Main Street United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Holcomb "Bennie" Key, one daughter, Lois K. Gray and one sister, Rosa B. Frazier. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy K. Overstreet, Roanoke, Nancy K. Heap, Kingsport, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 24, 1993 in the Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Carl H. Douglass Jr. officiating. Memorials may be made to the Bedford Volunteer Fired Department or Bedford Life Saving Crew. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
