OBIT CYPHERS, VERA CALHOUN

CYPHERS, Vera Calhoun, 85, of Roanoke, died Saturday, December 25, 1993, in a local nursing home. She was the widow of Gale B. Cyphers and a lifelong member of Jefferson Street Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Marnee and Jerry Harrios, Powhatan, Va.; granddaughter and husband, Wanda H. and Lt. Travis S. Goins, Okinawa. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel, 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 27, 1993, with the Rev. Harry E. Leland officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Mt. Pleasant Rescue Squad. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel Sunday evening.
