OBIT BAILEY, ROY WILSON SR.

BAILEY, Roy Wilson Sr., 80, of Route 3, Boones Mill, died Saturday, December 25, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are his wife, Bertha Sink Bailey; one son and daughter-in-law, Roy W. Jr. and Carolyn D. Bailey, Boones Mill; one daughter and son-in-law, Polly B. and Coy W. Cooper, Boones Mill; six grandchildren, Kevin Bailey, Travis Bailey, Michael Bailey, Doug Cooper, Barrett Cooper, Pamela Cooper Dent; one great-grandson, Jordan Cooper; one brother, Paul Bailey, Rocky Mount; four sisters, Pauline Crook, Boones Mill, Mrs. Omar Davis, Glade Hill, Frances Overstreet, Marie Murray, both of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted at Flora Funeral Chapel 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Tom Cain and Elder Odell Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in the Bailey Family Cemetery. The family suggest memorials be made to the Red Valley Rescue Squad. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Monday, with the family receiving friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, 342 South Main St., Rocky Mount.
