OBIT SCHEINBERG, ROSE

SCHEINBERG, Rose, 76, of Roanoke, died Sunday, December 26, 1993, at Friendship Manor. She was the widow of Harry Safransky and Meyer Scheinberg. Mrs. Scheinberg moved to Roanoke in 1988 from Costa Mesa, Calif., where she ran her own business. She was the author of a memoir called "Rosie". She is survived by a son, Sy Safransky, Chapel Hill, N.C.; daughter, Elyse Crane, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Mara and Sara Safransky, 17 and 16, Joshua, Daniel, and Bethany Rose Crane, 15, 8, and one; one brother and one sister. A memorial service will be held at Temple Emanuel, 11 a.m. Friday with Rabbi Frank Muller officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roanoke Area Ministries Food Bank, 824 Campbell Ave., Roanoke, Va. Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.
