CLARK, MELVIN CLEO, OF ROANOKE, PASSED AWAY
CLARK, Melvin Cleo, of Roanoke, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 1993, in
a Salem hospital. He was a member of Connelly Memorial Baptist Church, and a
past president of the Roanoke Baptist Missionary and Social Union. Mr. Clark
was a longtime real estate broker and salesman in the Roanoke Valley, was a
veteran of World War II, and a member of American Legion Post #248. Surviving
are his wife, Irene H. Clark; two sons, James and Glenn Clark, all of Roanoke;
a daughter and son-in-law, Terri C. and Bruce Ferguson; two grandchildren,
Angela and Brian Ferguson, all of Roanoke. Also surviving are two brothers,
Ernest J. Clark, Buchanan, Preston E. Clark, Daleville; two sisters, Pauline
C. Dudley, Buchanan, Elizabeth C. Anderson, Covington. Funeral services will
be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday from Oakey's North Chapel with the Rev.
William G. Foster and Dr. Carl A. Collins Jr. officiating. Interment will
follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North
Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
