SAUNDERS, OSCAR B., ("DOC"), 76, OF MELBOURNE,

SAUNDERS, Oscar B., ("Doc"), 76, of Melbourne, Fla., died suddenly at his home Monday evening, December 27, 1993. Mr. Saunders was born in Fredericksburg, Va., and grew up in Roanoke, Va. Mr. Saunders graduated from Virginia Military Institute, Class of 1939, with a degree in Civil Engineering. He served in the Army Air Corp. during World War II, attaining the rank of Captain. He retired from the Army Corp of Engineers in Jacksonville, Fla. He is survived by a son, Michael B. Saunders; two granddaughters, all of Forest City, N.C.; stepdaughter, Mrs. Elizabeth H. Saleeba, Charlotte, N.C.; special friend, James N. Prince. Mr. Saunders was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth C. Saunders. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Building Fund of Suntree United Methodist Church, Melbourne, Fla. Funeral arrangements by Florida Memorial Funeral Home are pending.
