OBIT KAST, ADA JULIE ELIZABETH
KAST, Ada Julie Elizabeth, 79, of Pembroke, died Thursday morning, December
30, 1993, in a Pearisburg hospital. Born in Giles County, Va., she was a
daughter of the late John Clayton and Mary Susie Jones Hilton. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Odie C. Kast; a daughter, Bernice Kast, and
a son, David Kast. Surviving are two sons, Charles M. Kast of Narrows and Odie
L. Kast of Pembroke; 6 daughters, Margaret K. Lawson of Narrows, Mary K.
Collins of Pembroke, Linda M. Sexton of Pearisburg, Dorine K. Merrix of
Pearisburg, Elizabeth K. Teass of Christiansburg and Ella K. Fisher of
Pembroke; one sister, Ollie H. Stevers of Pearisburg; 14 grandchildren; 7
great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday,
January 1, 1994, in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel at Pembroke, with the Rev.
Eddie Kendall and the Rev. Raymond S. Kelley officiating. Burial will be in
Birchlawn Burial Park at Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the
funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday evening.
