OBIT BROWN, HOWARD EUGENE

BROWN, Howard Eugene, 84, of Blue Ridge Nursing Center, Martinsville, died Wednesday, December 29, 1993 at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville Henry County. He was born in Hudson, N.C. on August 20, 1909 the son of the late Avery Pennell and Ina Pennell. He retired from Lester Lumber Company after 30 years service. He was preceded by his wife Nellie Brown. He is survived by a son, Prentiss Brown of Buchanan; a half brother, Verlie Pennell, Lenoir, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Sandra M. Brown, Buchanan; two grandsons, Barry Brown, Randy Brown, both of Buchanan. Graveside services will be held Sunday 2:30 p.m. at Roselawn Burial Park by Dr. James A. Dickerson. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 8:30 at McKee's Funeral Home.
