2 ROANOKE EDUCATORS GET SPECIAL ED AWARDS

Mary Jane Sisler and Dennis Bevins, Roanoke educators, recently received awards from the Virginia Council for Exceptional Children.

Sisler, who is on leave from James Madison Middle School, received the Jenny Brewer Award for exemplary service by a special education teacher who is also active in the council.

Bevins, special education coordinator for the city schools, received the Grace M. Smith award for exemplary service on behalf of exceptional learners by a central or building administrator.
