JURY AWARDS $15 MILLION MORE IN IMPLANT CASE

A jury awarded three women with leaking silicone breast implants $15 million in punitive damages from three companies a day after it ordered the same companies to pay $12.9 million in actual damages.

On Wednesday, the jury found 3M Corp., based in Minnesota, and McGhan Medical Co. and Inamed, both of Las Vegas, liable for the leaking implants and awarded the $12.9 million. - Associated Press
