Morlock, of Alexandria, died Saturday of leukemia at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., said Reynold Matthews, the grand senior deacon of the Grand Lodge of Virginia.
Morlock was elected in February 1993 to lead Virginia's 51,000 Masons for a 20-month term.
He joined the fraternal organization in 1959 through the Henry Knox Field Lodge 349 in Alexandria, and also was a member of the John Blair Lodge 187 in Alexandria. Morlock began holding statewide Masonic offices in 1988.
A New York City native, he served in the Air Force from 1949 to 1969. He joined the Secret Service in 1969. When he retired in 1992, he was assistant director of technical services and was in charge of planning presidential visits.
A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday evening at the Scottish Rite Temple in Alexandria, and Morlock will be buried Thursday at Arlington National Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Voula; a son and daughter; and a stepson and a stepdaughter.
