More teachers: uses state disparity money to hire 25 more teachers to reduce the student-teacher ratio to 18-to-1 in schools with a high concentration of children from low-income families. Five additional teachers will be hired with reallocated funds.

Recruitment: improves employee recruitment and professional development through an expanded internship program for teachers and administrators at a cost of $74,500.
Local program support: provides $41,000 for the magnet school international baccalaureate program, $16,000 for swim instruction and $15,000 for the chess program.
