SCHOOL REGISTRATION BEGINS THURSDAY

Roanoke County will register children for kindergarten and first grade on Thursday and Friday for the next school year.

The children can register between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. both days at the elementary school in their area.

All children who will be 5 on or before Sept. 30 are eligible for kindergarten.

Pupils who are currently attending kindergarten in county schools are not required to register. However, children who are enrolled in private kindergarten must register.
