FINE ARTS CENTER SEEKS AUCTION GOODS

The Fine Arts Center of the New River Valley is seeking donations of items or services for a fund-raising auction scheduled for 7 p.m. April 30 at the Woman's Club Annex.

The center is a non-profit organization offering monthly exhibits by area artists and craftspeople, a variety of classes, educational programs, summer activities for children, and more.

Debra Grayer Naharincq, president of the center's board, said businesses donating items will receive publicity during the auction which is expected to draw several hundred people.

``There are many additional plans we have for the Fine Arts Center including the expansion of our educational facilities and exhibition space, as well as an art education outreach program for the public schools,'' she said. ``But all these grandiose ideas take money.''
