W.VA. BROTHERS ACCUSED IN SLAYING

A Bland County grand jury has indicted two Bluefield, W.Va., brothers in the death of a Virginia woman.

The indictment returned Tuesday accused Fred Buchanan with capital murder and robbery and accused William Buchanan of first-degree murder and robbery.

Claudine Waddell, 77, of Bland County was found dead in her burning mobile home in October.

Investigators at first thought her death was an accident, police said.

An autopsy found Waddell was stabbed to death before the blaze.
