Michael Wayne Philpott was in the building where the 800-gallon pots were housed when the raid took place, Special Agent Butch Wright said. The still was set up in a 35-by-80-foot shed off Virginia 756. Some pots were being heated when agents arrived.
About 200 gallons of illegal liquor were confiscated and destroyed, Wright said.
