UNION MEMBERS TO CONSIDER VOLVO CONTRACT

Volvo GM Heavy Truck Corp. workers in United Auto Workers Local 2069 are scheduled to meet Sunday at 2 p.m. to consider ratifying a new contract.

John Walke, vice president of the union local, said the union and company were still negotiating over minor details in the tentative contract agreement reached last weekend. Terms of the contract will not be released until after the ratification meeting.

The contract would affect about 1,100 workers at the Dublin plant.
