DOCTOR'S DAY RACES TO BE HELD MARCH 27

The third annual Doctor's Day 8K and 1 Mile Fun Run will be held March 27 at Victory Stadium.

The event is sponsored by the Roanoke Academy of Medicine Alliance in honor of Doctor's Day. Proceeds will benefit Roanoke Valley students pursuing careers in medicine through the academy's scholarship fund.

The 8K run will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the 1 mile Fun Run at 2:30 p.m.

The entry fee for the 8K is $15; and the fee for the Fun Run is $3 for adults, $2 for ages 15 and under. Payment must be received by March 20.

If participants register after the March 20 deadline, the cost to enter the 8K run is $17 and $4 for the Fun Run. Race-day registration fee is $20 for the 8K and $4 for the Fun Run. The event will be held regardless of weather.
