NS offers steam train excursion
Norfolk Southern Corp. on Thursday announced an April 9 round trip from Huntsville, Ala., to Chattanooga, Tenn., the 28th year of the railroad has offered steam train excursions.
Until mid-November Norfolk Southern plans to operate 45 trips in parts of 14 states, according to Carl S. Jensen, manager of steam operations. Excursions will be sponsored by local chapters of the National Railway Historical Society and by railroad clubs and museums.
The 1993 schedule is available from Jensen in the company's regional headquarters at 110 Franklin Rd. S.E, Roanoke.
