CHRISTIANSBURG PLAYER WINS $1 MILLION JACKPOT

Someone who bought a Lotto ticket in Christiansburg won $1 million in the Saturday night drawing, a Virginia Lottery spokeswoman said Sunday.

The numbers drawn were two, nine, 18, 32, 40 and 43.

The winner will receive about $34,000 a year after taxes for 20 years, said Paula Otto, the lottery department spokeswoman.

The Lotto jackpot for Wednesday is $1 million.

In Saturday's drawing, 59 people won $868 for picking five of the numbers, Otto said.

Prizes of $51 went to 2,121 people who got four numbers right, while 33,700 people won a free play for correctly choosing three numbers.
