CLINTON, CONGRESSMEN FAST FOR HUNGER CAUSE

President Clinton agreed to ignore and endure his hunger pangs Wednesday, joining at least 15 members of Congress in a fast intended to show concern for those who never have enough to eat.

Rep. Tony Hall, D-Ohio, who organized the fast, said Clinton volunteered to participate during an Oval Office meeting. In addition to one day of fasting, Hall said the president agreed to consider making a speech on the subject of hunger.
