CUSTOMER ATTACKS CLERK

A clerk at the Stop-In store at 3911 Melrose Ave. was cut in the face with a razor by a customer Tuesday at 11:19 p.m., according to Roanoke police.

David Booth, 33, was treated for minor injuries at Lewis-Gale Hospital and released.

Booth told police that he had refused to sell the customer beer because the man didn't have enough money. The man fled on foot, according to police.
