\ THE GENERAL JAMES BRECKINRIDGE CHAPTER OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION has named four winners of the 1993-94 DAR Good Citizenship Award.

The award is given to seniors and recognizes dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.

They recipients are: Amy Suzanne Patterson, Lord Botetourt High School, daughter of Sandra F. Franke, a 1991 graduate of Salem High School majoring in communication studies, is serving on the traffic appeals committee. She is the daughter of Walter and Bernice Franke of Salem.

Wolf, a philosophy and political science major, is serving on the planning committee. He is the son of Leonora Wolf of Roanoke.

\ DOMINION BUSINESS SCHOOL has announced the names of students from the Roanoke campus who received academic honors for the 1993 fall semester.

\ RUTH WALTON, a professional storyteller from Roanoke, received a master's degree in reading and story art from East Tennessee State University. Walton has traveled through the United States telling stories. She went to the former Soviet Union with a group of storytellers and will appear at the Mid-Atlantic Storytellers Festival in June.

\ JENNIFER C. WILLIAMS of 1925 Broyles Lane has been named to the dean's list for the first semester at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

\ INTERACT CLUB, a new North Cross School club sponsored by the Rotary Club of Roanoke Valley, has elected officers: Armistead Lemon, president; Sarah Waybright, vice president; Emily Kennedy, secretary; Te Easha Skinner, treasurer; Gates DeHart, faculty adviser; Betty Bussey, Rotary adviser.

The club gives secondary-school students a chance to do volunteer service.

\ GUILFORD COLLEGE in Greensboro, N.C., recently announced the names of Roanoke Valley residents who made the dean's list for the fall semester. They are: Eric K. Nordberg of Daleville, son of Alan and Blair Nordberg; Mark Ferguson of Roanoke, son of Sandra Ferguson of Roanoke and Larry Ferguson; Amanda York Phillips of Roanoke, daughter of Janet Phillips-Burrow and Steve Phillips; Jay Bradley Thomas, son of Michael and Sandra Thomas of Roanoke.

\ JEFFREY L. BRENEMAN, son of John and Lois Breneman of Roanoke, has been named to the dean's list for the fall quarter at Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio.
