Scott, a senior forward from Lynchburg, averaged 19.6 points and eight rebounds per game for the Maroons (26-2).
"Hilliary earned every bit of this honor," said Page Moir, Roanoke's coach. "He is one of the finest players to don a Roanoke College uniform and typifies the meaning of the term `All-American' in every way."
Roanoke earned the Old Dominion Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles and made its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 1987. Scott, the ODAC player of the year, also earned spots on the All-South Region first team and AllODAC first team for the second consecutive year.
Scott, who was a second-team All-American as a junior, was a candidate for national Division III player of the year this season. However, that honor went to Scott Fitch of Geneseo (N.Y.) State, a fellow first-team member. Completing the first team were Ty Evans of Wisconsin-Whitewater, Moses Jean-Pierre of Plymouth (N.H.) State and Nick Gutman of Otterbein (Ohio).

Fran O'Hanlon has thrown his hat into the search for a head basketball coach at VMI.
O'Hanlon, an assistant at Penn the past five years, said he sent a resume and phoned VMI athletic director Davis Babb and was awaiting a response.
"I basically work a lot with the offense [at Penn]," O'Hanlon said Friday. "We're all in charge of recruiting . . . and in an Ivy League situation, as I'm sure it is with VMI, it's tough."
In Greenville, S.C., East Tennessee State took advantage of an early-morning tee time to fire a 290 and take a seven-shot lead over second-place College of Charleston at the Furman Intercollegiate Golf Tournament.
