That was the number of people who expressed interest in participating after a series of community meetings last year to develop a vision document for the enterprise.
The teams are expected to start working in their respective areas in about 60 days.
After going over the suggestions made at the various meetings, a total of 33 teams will be formed under the categories of economy, education, quality of life/environment, health and safety, infrastructure, governance and leadership.
Representatives of the New Century Council are distributing copies of the vision statement to local government officials in Roanoke, Salem and Radford and the counties of Roanoke, Craig, Giles, Pulaski, Montgomery, Floyd and Franklin.
Two additions were made to the list of possible New Century teams based on what speakers said at some of the meetings.
One new team under education will look at early childhood development. Another change will combine entrepreneurship with a small business team.
