CLASSIC - YET COMFORTABLY SUITED

The Tailored Menswear Council of America gives these reasons why you should wear tailored clothing:

nSpur-of-the-moment weddings.

nWhen you go on appointments you won`t be mistaken for a messenger.

nPeople won't cross the street when they see you coming.

nNeither big muscles nor love handles are relevant to most business meetings.

nStrangers will address you as ``sir'' and not ``bud.''

nThe receptionist won't ask if you've come to pick up the dumpster.

nThe term ``leisure suit'' is an oxymoron.

It's true that tailored clothing is classic. It will survive decade to decade.

But today's new tailored ``classics'' can be comfortable, too.

Soft. Loose-fitting. Just the hint of a crease.

Neat enough to pass the dress code but comfortable enough that you forget all about that.

Brooks Brothers says that these days you never know.

Is the sport coat a CEO or a newly minted MBA?

Success today is often found out of the traditional uniform.

Today you can forge your way to success in any uniform you choose.
