ROCKY GAP MAN DIES IN CAR CRASH

A Rocky Gap man was killed Saturday night when his car struck a tree in Bland County.

Senter F. Lowe, 62, was driving east on Virginia 678 near Rocky Gap, state police said. Lowe lost control of his car, ran off the right side of the road and hit a tree.

Trooper W.W. Hall said a neighbor ran out of his house and pulled Lowe from the car just before it caught on fire. Lowe died at the scene at around 7:15 p.m.

The neighbor said Lowe was not wearing his seat belt.
