IRAS STILL MAKE LOTS OF SENSE

Individual retirement accounts still attract a high percentage of retirement savings even though tax deductions for annual IRA contributions have been curtailed.

A nationwide study by Prudential Securities, based on a survey of more than 400 individuals in February, showed that seven out of 10 investors have IRAs. Of those individuals, more than one-half funded their IRAs last year and 59 percent planned to make contributions.
