Jerry Lee Lewis is fired up to pay back the IRS.

The piano-pounding rock 'n' roller is starting work on an album, which, along with a concert tour, should help him pay the $3.75 million he owes in back taxes.

"I'll be doing what I do. Something new, brand new music," Lewis said Monday in his hometown of Ferriday, La

It will be the first album in 12 years for the 58-year-old rocker.

Lewis was acquitted in 1984 of tax evasion, but a federal court refused to absolve him of his tax debts when he filed for bankruptcy protection in 1988. IRS agents have seized his property over the years.

When Wendy's founder Dave Thomas says "Well Done," he's not necessarily talking about a hamburger.

"Well Done" is the tentative title of Thomas' book, scheduled for release in August by Zondervan Corp., a Christian publishing house.

The book will show "the average person how to improve his life by applying the same simple principles that turned Wendy's into a successful worldwide business," Zondervan said in a statement.

Thomas, who employs his self-deprecating humor in Wendy's commercials, will discuss his philosophy of life and his Christian beliefs.

He said royalties will be donated to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Thomas was an orphan.

COUPLES: Sylvester Stallone, 47, has jettisoned girlfriend of six years Jennifer Flavin. Informed her via Fed Ex two weeks ago as she attended her sister's wedding in Minnesota. Flavin, 25, is a model for Revlon, among other gigs. The split might or might not have something to do with Janice Dickinson, who gave birth to a girl Feb. 23, then fingered Stallone as the sperm donor. Earlier this month, the actor issued a paternal denial, but this week he's pictured in the Star cavorting with Dickinson, 37, in Miami.

The Cindy Crawford-Richard Gere publicity machine felt obliged to issue a denial about the couple's being preggers. "It's not true," a publicist declared Monday. "She's not pregnant. We confirmed it with Richard himself."

Ricki Lake, 25, who went from actress to talk-show host, married artist Rob Sussman, 27, last weekend in Las Vegas. It's the first for both.
