LOA OFFERS JOB SEARCH WORKSHOP

The League of Older Americans Area Agency on Aging is offering a free workshop series to assist senior citizens in their job search.

The three-day workshop will be held Sept. 13, 15 and 20, 9 a.m.-noon at the AARP-RPS teleservice center.

The first day will focus on assessing and expanding personal skills, and will be conducted by personnel from Trigon Blue Cross-Blue Shield.

The second seminar, conducted by an employees from the Fifth District Employment and Training Consortium and Carilion Health System,will identify potential hiring barriers and talk about how to overcome them.

The last day will include resume and interview strategies.

The workshop is open to anyone 55 and older. Call 345-0451.
