IN COUGARLAND, THEY'RE HUNGRY AGAIN

A bitterly cold wind blew across grim W. T. Woodson High's football field on the December Saturday last year when Annandale denied Pulaski County consecutive state championships.

Good Pulaski County players have since departed via graduation; others remain. At Pulaski County, where Roanoke Valley District championships are assumed and berths in the Northwest Region final are counted on, big hopes come naturally, even if they aren't always expressed aloud.
