ARKANSAS STATE READY FOR HOKIES

Arkansas State football team on Thursday wound up its preparations for its season opener against the No. 21 Virginia Tech Hokies.

``We walked through some situations today and worked one select aspect of the kicking game,'' said coach John Bobo.

Bobo also announced the team captains for the game Saturday at Blacksburg, Va. They are are: Johnny Covington, offense; Carlo White, defense; and Jeff Caldwell, special teams.
