This is the poem that Ashley Damron submitted for the ``U to U'' show on Nickelodeon cable TV. She calls it ``Vegetables'':

Vegetables is what I hate

Especially when they're on my plate.

Sometimes I try to hide them

When my mama doesn't look

And then again when she's not looking

I'll just hide them in a book

Or feed them to my dog

Or sometimes feed the bad ones

To my pet Sam bullfrog.

There are times when I have to eat them

When my mama's watching me

But then again there are times

When my mama doesn't see.
