FIRES CALLED SUSPICIOUS

Arson is suspected in two fires in Southwest Roanoke early Friday.

Fire Capt. W.S. Trent said two fire calls were made less than one minute apart about 5 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to find two house fires, one in the 800 block of Rorer Avenue and another in the 800 block of Campbell Avenue.

Trent said the fires were small and no one was injured. He said the fires still were under investigation.
