BANKRUPTCIES

Three bankruptcies with business affiliations have been filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Western Virginia in Roanoke. Two of them are personal bankruptcies that the court listed as business filings because they have commercial connections and could be of interest to business creditors and customers.

N.O.W. Coal Co. Inc. of Pennington Gap filed for liquidation. The company said it had no assets and reported liabilities of $774,508.

John Walter Copenhaver of Abingdon, who does business as J&J Business Forms Inc., filed for liquidation. He estimated assets and liabilities at more than $50,000 each.

Larry Allen Lough of Tazewell, who trades as L&S Equipment, asked for liquidation. Lough said he had assets of $91,800 and liabilities of $1,495,695.
