BUCS' YEAR BROUGHT POSITIVE DEVELOPMENTS FOR PIRATES

The measure of the works carried out at Municipal Field before it closed up shop for good last week may be found some 3 1/2 hours' drive to the southeast of Salem.

Such a trip would bring you to Zebulon, N.C., the home of the Class AA Carolina Mudcats. The Mudcats and Buccaneers, it will be recalled, are in the same corporate chain, that of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
