VOTER REGISTRATION

The voter registration offices in the New River Valley will hold special hours and sites to facilitate registration for the general election on Nov. 8.

The registration and address change deadline is Oct. 11.

Absentee voting begins Sept. 23. The last day for receipt of mail-in ballots is Nov. 3. The last day for in-person absentee voting is Nov. 5.

New River Valley residents may register to vote at the following places and times in addition to regular voter registration office hours:

City of Radford

Radford Public Library: now-Oct. 11, regular business hours.

Central Lumber Co.: Sept. 9, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Food Lion, Tyler Square: Sept. 16, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Radford Post Office, First Street: Sept. 23, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Septemberfest, Norwood St.: Sept. 24, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

Heth Plaza, Radford University: Oct. 7, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Registrar's Office, Recreation Department Building: Oct. 8, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
