SEVERAL INJURED IN DUNLOP TIRE STRIKE

A 2 1/2-month-old strike against Dunlop Tire Corp. turned violent Tuesday as hundreds of union members hurled rocks at cars near the plant. Tear gas was fired to disperse the crowd. At least two people were beaten by police.

At least seven people sought medical treatment for minor injuries. Four people were arrested on charges including disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
