TENNIS TOURNEY CHAMPIONS ANNOUNCED

Vincent Pannell and Brandon Johnson won two doubles titles at the third annual Arnesia Wright Junior Tennis Championships held at Eureka Park on Aug. 28.

Pannell and Johnson beat Brandon Carter and Dennis Haley 6-1, 6-3 in the boys' 14-under bracket, then beat Anthony Moyer and Jamar Wright 6-0, 6-2 in the boys' 16-under bracket.

Other match results: David Mueller beat Mercy Comeaux 6-3, 6-2 in the boys' 12-under singles; Kristi Wooden beat Kim Harrington 6-3, 6-1 in the girls' 12-under singles; Johnson beat Pannell 6-3, 7-6 in the boys' 14-under singles; and Moyer beat Wright 6-1, 6-4 in the boys' 16-under singles.

In boys' 12-under doubles, Mueller and Wooden beat Mercy and Jonathan Comeaux 7-5, 6-4.
