The Lancers (1-1 overall, 1-1 Piedmont District) almost lost the game when one of the their fans was called for a technical with 30 seconds left. Laura Anderson, who led Gretna with 23 points, hit the front end of a one-and-one to give the Hawks a 63-62 lead. Laurel Park turned the ball over, but then stole the inbounds pass which led to Perkins' winning shot.

COLLINSVILLE - Juanita Crews sank a 3-pointer with time running out as Chatham edged Fieldale-Collinsville to win a Piedmont District game.
Crews sank the second of two foul shots to tie the score with a few seconds left. Crews then sank a 3-pointer for the win.
