According to District Fire Chief Bobby Slayton, workers at 3-B's mini-warehouse at 2501 Roanoke Ave. SW were cutting a beam with a blowtorch. Sparks set property in a nearby storage cubicle on fire.
Firefighters arrived about 2:40 p.m. to find that the fire had spread to four or five other cubicles.
Two workers were treated for smoke inhalation.
Slayton said there was an estimated $30,000 damage to the building and another $20,000 damage to the property inside.
