GARDEN AT W&L WILL BE DEDICATED

The Garden Club of Virginia will hold a dedication ceremony Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the newly re-created garden at Lee House on the Washington and Lee University campus in Lexington. The ceremony is open to the public.

The new garden, designed and planted in 1992-93, is on the site of a portion of Robert E. Lee's original garden.

Historic landscape architect and architect for the Garden Club of Virginia Rudy J. Favretti created a design suggestive of an 1870s garden, and all of the plants are appropriate to the period.
