ROANOKE PROFESSOR TO SPEAK

Janice Saunders, associate professor of sociology at Roanoke College in Salem, is one of 40 keynote speakers at the U.N. Conference on Population and Development in Cairo, Egypt.

On Monday, she will deliver a paper on women in Third World countries and their role in population control, a college spokewoman said.

Saunders, who chairs the college's sociology department, has been a faculty member since 1981.
