TECH STUDENT INJURED IN FALL

A Virginia Tech student was injured early Sunday when he fell from a second-story balcony.

Witnesses told Blacksburg police that Billy M. Massey, 19, walked out onto the balcony at Foxridge Apartments in Blacksburg and leaned over the railing. Looking down, Massey apparently flipped over the railing and fell to the ground, police said.

Massey was taken to Montgomery Regional Hospital, unconscious. He was listed Sunday in stable condition with head and facial injuries.
