COOKBOOK TO SERVE UP TASTE OF HISTORY

Roanoke Valley History Museum's Past Presents shop is betting that a cookbook will put it on the best-sellers' list.

Shop manager Kathie Frykman says cookbooks of all kinds are so popular at the shop on the Roanoke City Market that she'd like to publish a cookbook of old and new family recipes, interspersed with regional anecdotes, for inclusion in the museum's own compilation.

Frykman says she's interested in all recipe categories, as well as possible book titles.

Submit your favorite in care of Frykman, P.O. Box 1904, Roanoke, Va. 24008, or drop your submission at the shop at 1 Market Square by Sept. 30 to allow time to have the books ready to debut at the Junior League's Stocked Market show in November.
