FOOD FEST COMES TO RICHMOND

A gastronomic celebration of more than 23 diverse cultures will happen Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Richmond Convention Centre. The 24th annual International Food Festival will highlight the culture, heritage and cuisine of Danish Americans, well-known for delicacies such as the following decidedly not low-fat but delicious "Frikadeller" or Danish meatballs.

Also featured at the festival will be cooking demonstrations by members of the Virginia Chefs Association and special demonstrations and book signings by chefs/cookbook authors Paul Prudhomme and David Tsang.

Proceeds from the event - $3 per ticket, per day in advance; $4 at the door - will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Richmond. For schedules and information, call (804) 353-4389.
